I've heard of worm drives working like this underwater, but this is a a different approach to cross country.... a bit hard on the areas - animals or plants in the way get sliced up....Would make an interesting encounter when overland tracking 'strange angled lines carved in line at regular intervals in two distinct parallel paths - about 6' between paths, about 15' per carved lines, and signs of some compaction of the spaces between the lines.... what manner of beast could this be?'
Probably not popular with conservationists...
