In the center of the ring, we have the Nokes Family, a father and son pair of Imperial Captains who've taken to imposing the writ of Imperial law on the frontier, and technically beyond the borders of the Imperium! They figure, with some justification, that by the time the word gets back to Capital they'll have the problem solved before any countermanding orders make it to them.
They've been imposing Imperial Law to the Lesser Kingdom of WalMart, which, in centuries past, had closer ties to the Imperium, buying a few dozen export-model Atlantic CAs.
The Nokes have gone too far, and a quarterof the WalMartian Kingdom Navy has ambushed them after a recent refuelling run. The Nokes know they need to destroy all the ships to create a power vacuum.
The WalMartian Navy knows that the arrant arrogance of the Imperium needs a firm and probably radioactive rebuke!
It's a vacuum cage match, and while we'll sell you the whole seat, you'll only need the EDGE!
