Of course, I’m firmly of the opinion that “1 ton of liquid hydrogen fuel takes up 13.5 cubic meters” merely provides a baseline to measure other ship components volume by examining their relative density.

If I were interested in detailed ship design, I would use GURPS Traveller. But I just want a "good enough for government work" level of game realism. :)
