Afternoon from WA Phil Pugliese and David Jaques-Watson,

Thank you both for your replies to my crew station question on the MT COACC Nuremberg (TL6) Attack Aircraft.

I did not know that the ME-410 had a remote-controlled turret but I did know about the other three bombers mentioned by Phil, another thank you is in order for the tidbit, and adds to my knowledge base.

According to my files I started to build an Excel spreadsheet for COACC back in 2005 and as usual I got bogged down with the rules and then became distracted by something else leaving the project unfinished. I can sympathize with your bafflement David. I have decided to go through MT Consolidated Errata for COACC before trying to use the module.

I agree that I too thought the Nuremberg was modeled on the Stuka and that the crew = 1 was probably an error that did not get reported or not entered into the MT Consolidated Errata with Donald McKinney's passing away.

I was making the errata entry for the Maximum external stores for the Nuremberg when I stumbled on the Crew = 1 and used the Controls Table of COACC p. 32 after failing to find the details on COACC pp. 28-29. With the help of Carlobrand on Citizens of the Imperium MT forum I have revised the complex cockpit to a simple cockpit.

Thanks for confirming that the flexible mount is not a turret.

David, since I have not completed the COACC errata entries I do not have any idea if the addition of the simple cockpit and crew station changes the given specification. Of course when I get to the point of working through the design process I'll probably get a different price even if everything else works out correctly.

I had a feeling that CT Striker was used in some fashion in COACC. I have a soft cover and PDF copy of COACC which are copyrighted as 1989 1st printing. The Crew/Accommodation Table in both copies agree with the weights mentioned in the comment below:

*** BTW, the CREW/PASSENGER ACCOMMODATIONS is a reprint of Striker. But I’ve noticed a few more pieces of errata: in Striker, a Simple cockpit and a Crew station both weigh .10 tons, and a Complex cockpit weighs .25 tons. Cockpit armor and an ejection set add .10 tons each. The decimal places for all of these options are missing from COACC !!! ***

Thank you both again for your help.
