Kickstarter is promoting February as FanZine Quest month, and Robert Eaglestone is doing a FanZine for Traveller. He calls it Xboat.

About Xboat
This is a true FanZine, with most of the material produced by Fans who are participating in the Traveller5 initiative. It's about discussion, example, and bold ideas rather than finished product. So, these issues are "non-canon", although content *could* be re-used in later publications.
Each issue is at least 16 printed half-pages (5.5 x 8.5) in a saddle-stitched booklet format. I'll mail the issues out in flat envelopes.
Ian Stead's Art
Yes! And the better the Kickstarter response, the more I can leverage the experienced and capable Ian Stead for beautifully themed artwork.
Robert Pearce's Art
Robert Pearce, of Starship Geomorph Deckplans fame, has agreed to do character artwork. Again, the better the KickStarter goes, the more I can ask from him. (By The Way, we're looking at getting Robert [Pearson]'s Starship Geomorphs printed rather than just PDFs. More on that later).
Delivery
Distribution is four issues, with the first delivered this summer (2019). "My intention is to deliver each issue quarterly thereafter, but I'm new to this, so it may be intermittent, and it may take 18 months before I deliver the last issue. In addition to delivery, I will make available a PDF of each issue, following the same general schedule."
Shipping is extra. For example, typical shipping to the U.S. is about $1.30 per issue, and international is about $3.25 per issue. The low-cost PDF-only option gets you the PDFs and forego shipping, to cut costs.
Is it Compatible with Version __ of Traveller?
While the Traveller Fifth Edition is directly supported, these resources typically work with any version of Traveller, or science fiction role-playing games in general.
Who Am I?
My name is Robert Eaglestone. I've loved the Traveller role-playing game for decades, and have had the privilege of working with Marc Miller and others on Traveller. I'm raising funds for a fanzine supporting Traveller -- people, starships, worlds, animals, and more -- with the fantastic artwork of Ian Stead and the moral support of Marc Miller.
For years I've been accumulating ideas about the game. So along comes KickStarter's 'Zine Quest -- the perfect opportunity to do homage to Traveller, old-school fashion.
