I still want to see a table of "How long do we have to wait before a ship comes along for us to book passage on?"

(One of the things I love about Ken Burnside's Ten Worlds setting is "Can we buy our own ship?" being met with hysterical laughter. And "Can we take the ship's boat to the surface and back up?" with "Ummmm ... what?" People are so unused to being at the mercy of port facilities that they can't wrap their heads around it.)
