Great example. I also draw the adults' attention to the British TV drama
series "Harlots" (2 seasons), set in 1763 London, which is said to have
had more prostitutes per head of population (1 in 5 women) than any
other city in history. The entire industry is surveyed, with two sisters
of which one is London's top courtesan, the other is a
courtesan-in-training.

The series has a strong thread of ribald gallows humour and the obvious
warnings are reiterated for the faint of heart -- sex, language, sex,
violence, sex and...well, lots of sex.

In Australia, you should NOT watch this drama for free on the SBS Online
service; not if you value your immortal soul.
