Ohio Valley Group of Technical Services Librarians (OVGTSL)
2000 Conference -- The Brave New World of Technical Services -- Call for
Papers

The annual conference of the Ohio Valley Group of Technical Service
Librarians, serving Indiana, Kentucky, and Ohio, will be hosted by the
Indianapolis-Marion County Public Library, May 4-5, 2000.

Technical Services will continue to undergo rapid change and growth in this
new century. Issues such as user interaction with library databases and
providing gateways to the world of information on the Internet are in the
realm of the skills of Technical Services providers. Technical Services
Librarians now have the opportunity to take active roles in the libraries of
the present and future.

Share with the Librarians of OVGTSL how your library, and especially your
Technical Services Department (including Cataloging, Acquisitions, and
Collection Development), is facing this Brave New World. OVGTSL invites all
interested persons to submit proposals and suggested topics/speakers.

Please include the following:

*       Name, address, institution and title.
*       E-mail address, and telephone number of the presenter(s)
*       Title of presentation
*       Abstract (not to exceed 200 words)
*       Format (e.g. oral presentation, panel discussion, poster session)
*       Equipment needs
*       Total time required (including time for questions)
