Subject: Standard Corporation Descriptions

I receive only the daily digest, so forgive me if everything on this title,
STANDARD CORPORATION DESCRIPTIONS, has been discussed and explained to
everyone's satisfaction.

I called the 800 number (800-852-1641) and spoke with a very helpful
customer rep.  She gave a little history-
Corporation Descriptions and Daily News have been at different times
separate and combined (we only receive the Corporation Descriptions).
Corporation Descriptions were issued in alphabetical divisions thru the end
of July 1999 (we kept 4 for each division in a binder) and were then
replaced with a monthly version which covers the full range A-Z.
Pages in the new monthly issues may refer to page numbers in the old format
or in the new (HER ADVICE: Don't throw out the old format yet).
A bound cumulation is ONE possibility that the company is considering at
the end of a year (or volume), but the company is also considering
eventually replacing the binders and their contents with a CD-Rom and the
monthly updates.

In response to my question whether I was missing any SECTIONS, I was told
no.  SO, the vol.1, no.1, section 1 does not infer that there is a section
2 for vol.1 no.1.
Nor is there a section 1 for vol.1 no.2 section 2 which arrived today.  It
seems that the section is simply a repetition of the no.   I hope that this
representative was accurate in her responses.  But I think I have my head
straight for now.  I can't say that resetting the volume number makes a big
difference to us since we don't keep many back numbers, but we will keep
those last 4 of each of the old format's alphabetic divisions.

I'm afraid that those receiving the Daily News parts have a bit more to
deal with.
