Serials Librarian
Exciting multidisciplinary opportunity available for a Serials
Librarian with integrated library system experience and automation
skills.
The Library of the United States Courts for the Seventh Circuit
recently implemented the Sirsi Unicorn ILS for its headquarters and
six branch libraries.
This position, located in our Chicago headquarters library, is
responsible for continuing development and maintenance of the
Unicorn
ILS's Serials Module and for all dealings with serials agent
Rowecom.
Candidate will provide ongoing staff training and supervision
regarding maintenance of serials collection, including claims,
check-in, and supervision of bindery materials.
Individual selected will work closely with Circuit Librarian and
with
Head of Technical Services on renewals, invoicing, cost control,
and
other areas related to the Unicorn ILS's Acquisitions Module.
In addition, candidates should have a strong automation background
that includes spreadsheet, database management and networking
skills.
Microsoft Office experience and Web searching skills highly
desirable.
Law library experience is preferred, but not essential. American
Library Association accredited Masters Degree required.
Salary dependent upon experience.
