This has been a wonderful Monday morning! We have beautiful fall
weather,
and I received a colleague's series of duplicate issues of the
SPECTATOR
and within five minutes an air-mailed package from the publisher's
representative also arrived bearing MOST of the claimed copies. Two of
the
February issues did not arrive in the publisher's package, but were in
the
other package. One August issue that had also not arrived was not sent,
but a September 4 issue was sent instead. The publisher's representative
also e-mailed to say that the issues had been mailed, so I was able to
respond to that with effusive thanks, with notification that we had
received those issues, and with hopes that all is now well with the
SPECTATOR and that my colleagues in the periodicals departments of other
libraries would be as fortunate as I have been.

Our library's duplicate supply should be posted on Backserv shortly.
I'm
just glad that I won't be the one having to respond to those requests.
Perhaps we will all be graced with our original renewals/orders being
serviced by the publisher as they should be. Once again, my letter to
the
editor resulted in contact with the following lady who followed through
on
providing those missing issues:
Natalie Slack <cinathalies@dial.pipex.com>

Don't give up hope!
