CATALOG LIBRARIAN
University of South Florida Shimberg Health Sciences Library.

Responsible for bibliographic control of academic health science
library's OCLC/NOTIS catalog. Perform original and copy cataloging in
all formats, establish policies, supervise and train department
personnel, and provide basic reference service as needed.

Qualifications: ALA accredited library science degree, minimum 3 years
academic cataloging experience using AACR2, MARC, NLM or LC, MeSH, major

bibliographic utility, online integrated system, Windows applications.
Reference and online database searching ability. Must have excellent
communication skills. Prefer: Experience cataloging electronic
resources; knowledge of emerging technologies and metadata standards;
familiarity with MeSH and Medline.

Minimum salary: $32,000. Application deadline is November 4, 1999. Send
