I have been asked to add subject headings in our local database (III) to
our periodicals that correspond to whichever dept. fund they were ordered.
Such as:

Biology--Periodicals

to all the titles purchased from the biology account.  This way, we could
pull up a list on the OPAC of all biology related titles and not have to
refer to paper lists produced by my department.

I'm not a serial cataloger, so could some of you give me a few tips.  I
know it won't be a 650 field, but after that, I'm stumped.
