POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
SERIALS LIBRARIAN
The George Washington University'�s Jacob Burns Law Library seeks a
Serials Librarian to supervise the day-to-day serials operation in the
Acquisitions/Serials Department. Reporting to the Head of
Acquisitions/Serials, the Serials Librarian maintains the serials
component of the library�s online catalog, creates check-in records,
resolves serial record conflicts and problems with the receipt of serials
and other continuations, processes claims, and oversees the bindery
operation. This position supervises two staff who check-in government
documents, serials, and periodicals, and prepare the bindery shipments.
QUALIFICATIONS: MLS from an ALA-accredited institution;
experience with online library serials control systems; outstanding
communication skills; strong service orientation and demonstrated
ability to work in harmony with others; self starter. PREFERRED:
Academic law library serials experience.
