WHAT IS The Acquisitions Institute?
* The reincarnation of the Feather River Institute.
* A small, informal gathering in a convivial and glorious Northwestern
setting.
* A three day conference focusing on the methods and madness of building
library collections.

WHAT TOPICS are you looking for?
* The planning committee is open to presentations on all aspects of library
acquisitions and collections management. Presenters are encouraged to
engage the audience in discussion. We are especially looking for
submissions on the following topics:

Consortial purchasing
Core competencies for acquisitions librarians
Tools for financial management
Personnel issues and coping with change
Staff training
Changing roles of book vendors and subscription agents
Economics of scholarly publishing
