Education/Psychology Librarian.
The University Libraries of Notre Dame invite applications for the
newly-created position of Education/Psychology Librarian. We are seeking
an individual who is creative, flexible and enjoys the challenges of
operating in an increasingly electronic information environment.
Identifies and analyzes the information needs of students and faculty in
the fields of Education and Psychology and develops needed services and
resources, for both on-site and remote users. Introduces state-of-the-art
research strategies and instructional resources to patrons and also to
colleagues in Reference and Collection Development. Conceives and arranges
support for distance learners in Education. Offers direct assistance at
the general reference desk approximately 10 hours per week, including some
evening and weekend shifts. As a member of the library faculty, engages in
professional development and scholarship. Reports to the Head of the
Reference Department. For further information about the position, please

is required; degrees in education and/or psychology are preferred, with a
strong background in the disciplines required. Salary and rank will be
commensurate with qualifications and experience; minimum for entry level is
$34,000. Librarians at Notre Dame are non-tenure-track members of the
University faculty and have an excellent benefits package, including
