SciELO - Scientific Electronic Library Online <http://www.scielo.br> is a
collection of scientific journals on the Internet. It offers full texts of
scientific articles, as well as a module for searching its database, and
reports of usage and impact of such a production.

Starting in 1997, presently its collection consists of 30 Brazilian
journals in fields such as Health and Biological Sciences, Social
Sciences, Earth and Agricultural Sciences, Physics etc. New journals will
be regularly incorporated in a variety of subjects.

Sponsored by FAPESP (Foundation for the Promotion of Science of the State
of Sao Paulo - http://www.fapesp.br), and developed in partnership with
BIREME (the Latin American and the Caribbean Centre on Health Sciences
Information - http://www.bireme.br), SciELO is one of the first ventures
of its magnitude in the region, and operates upon the SciELO Methodology,
a wide and flexible model for electronic publishing.

Journal and full text collections are available by selecting one of the
"Serial browsing" options, or using the "Article browsing" to access
searchable indexes (author, subject) and a complete search form. To choose
an individual journal, click on "Alphabetic list" or "Subject list".
Following, select a title by clicking on it to see the journal home page.
At the top of that page, select the option "All" to see the issues
available online. Click on an issue to access the table of contents, and
choose a specific article by selecting the "Abstract" or "Text" options.

Back to SciELO home page, the "Articles browsing" option offers access to
SciELO databases. Its search engine allows to find a specific article,
author or subject in the whole journal collections, by using the author or
subject indexes, or selecting the complete search form.
