Subject: Publication-Schedule Change Notice (Erich Staib)

An explanatory posting to SERIALST

The International Communication Association and Oxford University Press have
decided to move the publication schedule for Human Communication Research to a
calendar year, so Volume 26, Number 1 will have a cover date of January 2000
instead of September 1999.

Volume 26, Number 1, however, is scheduled to be published in November 1999.
This will prevent too much time from elapsing between its former schedule and
the new schedule.  We also hope that this change to a calendar year will better
accommodate our institutional subscribers by fitting into a more traditional
renewal cycle.

We make this posting to help avoid possible confusion when Volume 26, Number 1
of HCR does not show up "on time."
