Subject: Business and Society Review
Just to save some one else the trouble of the discovery process we just went
through: the Spring 1999 issue of Business and Society Review arrived here in a
new small format, and with what apppeared at first glance to be a subsequent
issue mislabeled. Both issues say Spring 1999; both indicate volume 104:1, but
they have distinctly different tables of content on the cover. The actual
content of the issue with the higher quality slick cover, matches its table of
contents. The content of the other issue is identical to the slick issue, but
the TOC does not match. That TOC, in fact, is identical to that in the
previous combined volume 102/103, and clearly a printing error. So we are
assuming the slick covered issue is a republication of the issue with the
correct TOC on the cover.
I have not yet received a response to my queries about whether a permanent
change is intended in volume number from continuous issue numbering to what
appears to be the first issue of volume 104. The addition of the seasonal date
would support that assumption, but who knows.
