The incumbent acts as chief cataloger for the library coordinating cataloging of materials in the library's collection of over 3.6 million books, serials, pamphlets, government publications, electronic format and microformat items. The incumbent sets goals and allocates resources for the library's cataloging programs, including its retrospective conversion efforts. The incumbent supervises 7 permanent employees (1 library consultant, 4 librarian seniors, 2 library services assistants advanced/lead), 5 project employees (3 librarian objectives, 2 library services assistants senior).
