Subject: fees for lost books

Dear Colleagues,

Librarians at Goodman Library are in the process of evaluating our charges
regarding lost books.  We currently charge a $5.00 Processing Fee plus the
replacement cost of the book.

Could you please tell me (not the list):
1) If you charge a Processing Fee, what is that fee?

2) If the book is Out-of-Print, what is your default charge and does that
charge vary by discipline?

If anyone wants to comment on your practices regarding materials other than
books, that would be greatly appreciated and very helpful.
