POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT
Serials Librarian
University of Houston-Downtown
W. I. Dykes Library
Under the general direction of the Assistant Director for Technical
Services, the Serials Librarian is responsible for the management of the
Serials Department, the acquisition and cataloging of serials and
electronic resources, the maintenance of electronic resource licensing
agreements; utilizing the Innovative system in ordering, receiving,
claiming and paying of serials.
Requirements: MLS from an ALA-accredited library school. Professional
experience in serials management of print and electronic resources.
Experience may be waived in consideration of expressed interest.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and demonstrated interest
in dynamic, service-oriented environment. Ability to maintain good
working relations with library staff and users. Ability to organize and
to work well under pressure.
Starting Salary: Minimum of $29,000
Starting Date: As soon as possible. Applications will be accepted until
