Computers in Physics (Marcia Tuttle)

Yes, Edith. Here's the story. In August the American Institute of Physics
and the IEEE Computer Society announced that AIP's _Computer in Physics_
and IEEE's _IEEE Computational Science & Engineering_ would merge in 1999
to form _Computing in Science and Engineering_. The content of the two
original magazines was comparable, and the two societies decided to merge
them and form the new, jointly-owned periodical. Subscribers to the
original journals should have gotten renewal information from the
respective publishers. I would imagine that the $395 price for the new
title is less than the total of the prices of the two original ones.
If you would like more information about the merger, please email me at

Does anyone know about the merging of Computers in Physics and IEEE for a
new journal called Computers in science and engineering?
I am trying to evaluate it for the increase for USD$295 to USD$395!
