Nan,

I send claim notices to our vendors sometime during the first week of each
month. For the most part, I have pretty good success with receiving claimed
issues when I go through a vendor; however, I have noticed that do I have to
follow up on the titles that are claimed directly from the publisher.  The
person who handled claiming before me claimed every two weeks, but
frequently the claimed issue and the second claim notice would cross in the
mail and we would end up with duplicate copies.  If someone has a more
successful way of getting publishers to respond with the first claim, I'd
like to hear it.
