Amy -

We had the majority of our newspaper subscriptions thru Ebsco and received
them thru the U.S.mail.  This resulted in about one to two week delay in
receiving them.  As of January 1998 we now buy most of our newspapers thru
Barnes and Noble.  We pick them up on Tuesday, so there is just a two day
delay.  This seems to be working out better for us and the patrons.

I just wanted to take a quick moment to thank everyone for all of the
helpful responses regarding the "newspaper subscriptions".  I see
that this is an issue for libraries everywhere.  Thanks again to all
who took a few minutes to send me advice, it is much appreciated!
