Joe,
We here at Linda Hall Library have had a bit of experience over the last
four years in acquiring other libraries, moving them to our location,
integrating them, etc. Indeed, our original collection came to us 51 years
ago from the Mareican Academy of Arts & Sciences in Boston. As of late, it
has been the Engineering Societies Library from New York (approx. 250,000
volumes), and the libraries from the American Public Works Association,
American Gas Association, American Petroleum Insitute, and American
Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Feel free to contact me with
more questions.
