The following full-time position is available immediately at Thomas
Jefferson School of Law in San Diego California:

TITLE:  Library Technician/Serials Management

REPORTS TO:  Technical Services Librarian

DUTIES: Responsible for checking in serial materials into ThomCat,
the Library's automated catalog (Innovative Interfaces system);
creates and modifies bibliographic and item records in ThomCat;
claims unreceived and lapsed materials; monitors bindery of
periodicals; routes materials to faculty and staff; trains and
supervises student assistants in processing and looseleaf filing;
maintins statistics of materials routed and claimed; responds to
Public Services questions regarding problems in the stacks;
coordinates the workflow of material between Technical Services and
the circulation desk with the Circulation Supervisor.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:       Excellent computer skills, familiarity with
Innovative Interfaces automated system.  Two to five years experience
working in the Technical Services department of a library, or a
four-year college degree.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:  Must be able to lift 25 lbs. and push a heavy
book truck.

HOURS:  Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
