We still accession in our library.  We have smart barcodes that we batch
print from our NOTIS system based on the item creation date.  Our
circulation staff like having a bar code that identifies the item number,
title, and author.  We find the smart barcodes helpful and worth the time
we spend.  Unfortunately, we do not have management reports that provide
us with the number of titles, volumes, and pieces we add each year.  We
use our accession report to provide us with this information.
