We have had spines cracked--even though we have photocopy machines that
are supposed to be for books. We are also still having pages cut out of
journals.

Regarding mutilation-we keep several boxes of periodicals that have been
replaced by microform in our office and have signs telling people if
they need pictures to please come to our office. I think this is one of
the best things we have done in years to discourage mutilation. Vickey
