CROOKS, CRACKERS, AND COOKIES:  Commonsense solutions to
internet security and privacy issues, will be offered on September 15.
The presenters are Nancy John and Edward Valauskas.  This
broad-based program will give participants insights into the basic
problems of internet security and privacy--how they occur and how best
to solve them.  This institute is for librarians, administrators, and
managers of technical and internet programs, who need to know more
about the basics of internet security.  Nancy John is Assistant University
Librarian at the University of Illinois at Chicago.  Edward Valauskas is
founder and principal of Internet Mechanics.
