Regarding the scheduling software a colleague of mine gave me
information from another listserv (LIBREF-L@LIST.SERV.KENT.EDU) that
might help.  Three products were recommended:

WorkTime by Time Domain (http://www.timedomanin.com) Handles multiple
shifts
 Visual Staff Scheduler by Atlas Business Solutions
(http://www.atlasbsi.com) Handles 2 shifts per day easily
Now Up-to-Date (http://www.nowsoft.com) Good for shared calendars for
meetings more than schedules
