Mitch,

I could not agree with you more that library staff are as legitimate users
of the catalogue as anyone else. I have often made that argument here, not
always to deaf ears. If something is being used and treated the same way as
a regular series of paper volumes, then consider it a series and be done
with it. The gadfly in me is tempted to ask a not completely rhetorical
question: shouldn't practical issues that mean something to users always
outweigh legalistic interpretation?
