To all concerned:

Upon receipt of faxed publishing information concerning the two titles in
question: "Conde Nast sports for women" and its successor: "Women's
sports & fitness", I have assigned ISSN 1099-6079 to the latter title and
updated the prepub record for the former title.  "Conde Nast sports for
women" (ISSN 1094-3633) was published from Oct. 1997 to May 1998.
The information provided indicated that the earlier publication with the
title "Women's sports & fitness" ceased publication in April of 1998. At
that time the title was purchased by the Conde Nast Group, who had started
the publication "Conde Nast sports for women" in Oct. 1997 and
apparently decided to rename it  "Women's sports & fitness" with the
June 1998 issue, continuing the volume numbering of "Conde Nast sports
for women".

I hope this information and the updated records will clarify the confusion
these name and ISSN changes have caused some of you.  Thank you for your
patience.
