Anne,

According to our record, in 1997 the publisher skipped numbering from
v. 74 to v. 94 in order to honor their "94th" year.  Hope this helps.

We discovered this unusual numbering last year when creating a serials control
record for this title.

I am not sure whether we contacted the periodical itself or found the
information in the periodical. However, we put the following information
in a 515 numbering peculiarities note:
Vol.  74 for 1996; vol. for 1997 called v. 94 for 94th year of publishing.

I spoke with someone at the publisher last year, when the volume-skip first
appeared.  He confirmed the skip, saying that they decided to go to volume
94 because this was their 94th year of publishing it.  As for handling the
volume numbering, we are numbering them as they are, with a public note that
reads:
   Note: v.74 (1996) is immediately followed by v.94 (1997).
            There are no vols.75-93.
