Subject: feedback on online journal use

****Please reply to Laura.A.Jenny.1@nd.edu****

I am gathering some quick and informal feedback about online journals in
the areas below. I would appreciate any thoughts you have by 5/5 and will
be happy to compile and post the results back to the list. Thanks in
advance for your time and thoughts.
....................
--For online journals in the Engineering, Chemistry and Mathematics fields,
what are the presentation (i.e., non-content related) characteristics you
find most helpful and why?

--For online journals in fields outside of Engineering, Chemistry and
Mathematics, what are the presentation characteristics you find most
helpful and why?

--What have you found to be the preferred format for delivery (e.g., pdf,
html, etc.) of online information and why? By type of information (e.g.,
the text of an article vs. illustrations, etc.), do you have any further
thoughts on delivery?

--For those online journals that have incorporated multimedia in their
online versions (e.g., video clips, color graphics, etc.), have they been
successful? If so, in what way?
