NASIG Announces 1998 Executive Board Election Results

The North American Serials Interest Group (NASIG)
announces the five members newly elected to its Executive
Board.  These individuals will assume office immediately after
the adjournment of the Annual Conference, scheduled June
18-21, 1998.

The successful election candidates are as follows:

Dan Tonkery (President and COO, The Faxon Company) has
been elected incoming Vice-President/President-Elect.

Margaret Mering (Principal Serials Cataloger and Associate
Professor, University of Nebraska-Lincoln)  has been elected
incoming Secretary.

Carol Pitts Diedrichs (Interim Assistant Director for Technical
Services and Head, Acquisition Department, The Ohio State
University Libraries) and Ann Ercelawn (Original Cataloger,
Vanderbilt University Library) have been
re-elected as Members-at-Large.  Margaret Rioux Information
Systems Librarian, Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution)
has also been elected Member-at-Large.

Ballots were received and tallied by staff at the University of
North Carolina at Chapel Hill Health Sciences Library.

The North American Serials Interest Group, Inc. is an
independent organization promoting communication and
sharing of ideas among all members of the serials
