At Alvernia College we do not have a set policy, but this is how we proceed.
If it is just a few issues or a few years we accept the donation. We then
will discuss the gifts usefulness. If we find it to be more of a burden we
put it on dup exchange.
If it is a large donation, we take the persons name and phone number and
discuss the gift among the librarians. If we can't use it, we try to
recommend someone who can or offer to put it on dup exchange.
