We are situated close to this company. We faxed them lists of things we
had, books and periodicals. They were not interested in old science
periodicals, but did take many periodical titles we had that were gifts
(on Russia, computing, history). We had an odd assortment of gift books
which they came and picked up. They phoned ahead and we set up a mutally
convenient time. We received a check for $50.00.

Recently another colleague and I met with a representative from the
Archival Resource Company. This is a fairly new company based in
Pennsylvania that purchases all types of [print] materials from
libraries, and then sells those materials to other libraries and
institutions. According to their brochure, they are "North
America's most comprehensive library exchange agency".

If anyone has done any business with this company, I would be most
appreciative of any information and impressions concerning your
transactions with Archival Resource Company that you would be
          willing to share with me.

I look forward to hearing from you!
