Associate Librarian for Technical Services and Systems. Search Re-opened.
Experienced and innovative individual sought to administer and provide
leadership in the technical services and systems operation of the
university libraries (main library and two branches: Map and Science).
The Associate Librarian coordinates all technical services components of
the campus libraries, including preservatiion; has budgetary and
personnel responsibility for technical services and for the integrated
library system (Voyager); will be responsible for implementing the
serials/acquisitions modules. Supervises a staff of twelve and several
student assistants. Responsible for an acquisition budget of $850,000.
The position reports to the University Librarian.
Requirements include: MLS from an ALA-accredited program; 3-5 years
successful management experience in technical services in an academic
library; substantial experience with integrated library systems and
various software applications; excellent interpersonal and communication
skills; demonstrated planning, budgetary and analytical skills; record of
dealing successfully with change; and demonstrated success in problem
solving.
Starting salary expected to be $38,000-$42,000. This is an
administrative position with generous benefits. Review of applications
