Subject: Serials Practicum

I am searching for a practicum opportunity in the St Louis area which
would give me hands on experience with serials management with an
automated system such as NOTIS or Innovative Interfaces. I will have
completed a cataloging class by the time I begin the practicum. I have
worked in both public and academic libraries. Because the School of
Library Science at U. Missouri doesn't include any courses in serials, I
would like to hear input from serials librarians as to what experience
would be paricularly valuable to me as a person thinking of serials as a
potential career environment. I would also appreciate the names of any
local contacts I might discuss  a training arrangement with. Thank you!
