bound by volume or year? Andrew Leonhart 11 Dec 1997 21:00 UTC

Greetings,

Do you bound your serials by the volume or by the year?

Many serials are convenient and the volume and year run together:
        v.43 1997
Many education journals go by the school year:
        v.43 Sept. 96-May 97 OR
        1996 v.42-43
And some serials just break at odd places:
        v. 43 Nov. 96-Oct. 97
        1996 v.42-43

Does it matter if you are a public library or an academic library?
Does it matter if it is a general interest title or a scholarly journal?

Just some questions to ponder. :)

Andrew
