Subject: Design Engineering (format & retention)

Please excuse my errors. I am a regular reader not a regular
contributor to this newsgroup.

I received a prompt and very competent assistance the last time. Thought I
would try for an answer to this query.

Design Engineering (ISSN - 011-9342) is published monthly by Maclean Hunter.
For many years this title was published on a regular basis and then was
bound in hard covers.
A couple of years ago, it began publishing in two formats within the same
bibliographic volume.

One section is published as the regular magazine size and the other
section is published as a newspaper tabloid format (11 x 14).

It is virtually impossible to bind. Do other libraries bind ? retain
short term only (1-2 yrs) etc.

I have two volumes in hand trying to ascertain how to process them.
Both volumes are incomplete.

1995    tabloid format - Jan, April, May, June, August, Nov.
        magazine format - Mar, OCt,

1996    tabloid format - JAn, April, May, June, August, Nov.
        magazine format - Mar, Oct

Any suggestions ? Please reply to the list.
