Mississippi State University requires that graduates of master's and
doctoral programs submit 2 copies of their theses/disserations to the
graduate school.  That office takes care of sending appropriate
copies to UMI. The other copies come immediately to the library.
 When UMI returns the microfilmed copies, they are sent to the
library also. As part of the graduation fees, students are required
to pay for binding the 2 copies.   The fees are deposited into a fund
which is later transferred to the Library.
