ALCTS Piercy Award nominations sought

Nominations are being sought for the ALCTS Esther J. Piercy Award. The
award consists of a $1,500 grant donated by Yankee Book Peddler, Inc., and
a citation presented at the membership meeting of the Association during
the ALA Annual Conference. This award is given to recognize the
contribution to those areas of librarianship included in library
collections and technical services by a librarian with not more than ten
years of professional experience who has shown outstanding promise for
continuing contribution and leadership.
Submission procedure: Nominations shall include 1) name of nominee; 2)
date nominee entered first professional position; and 3) a formal statement
of nomination, with a brief rationale for the nomination, together with a
resume or narrative career outline upon which the award jury can base its
determinations.
