Fundamentals of Acquisitions Teleconference Ann O'Neill 30 Oct 1997 19:13 UTC

Second call for viewing sites and facilitators

The Fundamentals of Acquisitions (FOA) Institute is being offered as a six
hour satellite teleconference on March 13, 1998. Co-sponsored by the
Acquisitions Section of ALCTS and the College of Library & Information
Science, University of South Carolina, the Institute covers the basics of
acquiring books and serials for all types of libraries. The intended
audience includes support staff and professional librarians.

Although many downlink/viewing sites have been confirmed, the
Planning Committee is still seeking sites and volunteer facilitators in
several areas. If you would like to volunteer your institution as a
possible site please contact Ellan Sykes at (803)777-3326 or
(emsykes@vm.sc.edu). If you would like to volunteer to act as
facilitator for a site in your area please contact Sheryl Davis,
(davis5@ucrac1.ucr.edu).

Registration for the Institute will open in early November.

For general questions about the teleconference please contact Ann
O'Neill at (803)777-1206 or (aoneill@sc.edu). Further information
about the teleconference is available on the FOA homepages at either
