Practically every newspaper on the planet that does a web edition can be
accessed from Editor and Publisher's web site:
http://mediainfo.elpress.com/ephome/npaper/nphtm/online.htm
Our foreign students love it!

Martha,
The Virginia Newspaper Project has links to a nice selection of "Newspapers
Accessible on the Internet" at
http://www.lib.virginia.edu/cataloging/vnp/paplist.html
Look under "Commercial Newspapers." There are links for each continent.
Each continent is subdivided by country.

AJR Newslink (http://www.newslink.org/news.html) is an excellent
comprehensive starting point for finding worldwide newspaper web
sites. Web newspapers can be found under three main geographic
locations: The United States, The Americas (all but U.S.), and Other
Continents. Most newspapers seem to be freely accessible, but a few
I've looked at have had some sort of registration requirements. The AJR
Newslink site is logically arranged and I find it easy to use.

I have used this site in the past: Newspaper Mania.
http://www.club.innet.be/~year0230/link4.htm
It's a little too cluttered with advertisements, but it is very up-to-date
and has listings by country.

Two sites, which don't entirely overlap:
http://www.library.upenn.edu/resources/news/newspapers/country/papers-geo.html
http://www.actualidad.com/
As the UPenn site points out, "most electronic newspapers contain only
selected articles from the print editions."
