CALL FOR PAPERS:
I am the guest editor for an upcoming special issue on reorganization in
library acquisitions for the journal _Library Acquisitions: Practice & Theory_.
I am seeking papers on the following issues in acquisitions: departmental
reorganization, sharing staff with other library departments, team-based
models, centralizing/decentralizing acquisitions operations, as well as other
reorganization trends.

LAPT's scope extends to the fields of serials, acquisitions, publishing, and
collection development.  Submissions on reorganization in any of these fields
would be welcome.

Articles can be based on the author's own experiences or observations, but
papers should consider the broad implications reorganization has for the field
as a whole and its effect on overall library operations and services.

Prospective authors should submit a proposal consisting of an abstract and
outline of their paper by email or by US mail.  Specific requirements for
accepted papers will be provided.

The deadline for proposals is October 1st, 1997.  The deadline for papers is
February 1st, 1998.
