Library/institutional subscribers to e-versions Julia Gelfand 03 Sep 1997 16:52 UTC

I am very curious as to how libraries are handling making available to
readers the electronic versions of journals to which they subscribe to the
print. We have library users who want to read the electronic versions of
journals such as Structure or Science or any number of other journals. It
seems that publishers do not give us the password or access code which
individual subscribers receive with their print subscriptions to access
the e-versions. Increasingly in science titles, there are additional
features in the electronic versions. Do any libraries make any provision
for this in their Current Periodicals Room? All insight into this
situation would be helpful. Thanks,
