We have nothing official from the Postal Service, however, we have noticed
that our mail is a bit thin right now. We expect once the strike is
officially settled and UPS is back to work, we will see a sea of serials
(sorry). Our newspapers are running 3- 4 days behind actual publication
dates, and some of our continuations have not arrived - ones which we know
are delivered by UPS.

Our serials acquisitions mail seems to be very sparse during the past week.
I checked with our local post office and they do not believe shipments of
journals are being held back to allow staff to handle other kinds of
packages being shipped by US mail because of the UPS strike.

Does anyone have an official word to the contrary on this?
