Access to e-journal studies/policies request ERCELAA@ctrvax.Vanderbilt.Edu 24 Jul 1997 18:04 UTC

Serials colleagues,

I am working with a group here at Vanderbilt that is studying the
range of alternatives to providing access to full-text ejournals in their
various formats and delivery methods, i.e. publisher/vendor
sites, individual titles, cdrom products, etc. We are interested
in learning of studies or policy statements prepared by other
institutions dealing with questions of how best to provide
access to these resources (web and/or cataloging). We are
aware of the excellent VIVA study:
http://www.lib.odu.edu/~joyce/vivacat.htm
and of a report done at Northwestern:
http://www.library.new.edu/tech/baer/
and would appreciate learning of other similar studies
or policy statements outside of the published
literature that you would be willing to share. Or if
your institution has developed what you feel is a particularly
effective web interface that organizes e-journal
information well, a pointer to your site would also be helpful to us.

Thanks for your assistance.
